SKYTRAC was founded in 1986 in Penticton, BC, by a group of aviators seeking to improve aviation safety through satellite communication. It has since grown into a global leader in satcom connectivity, serving over 800 customers on all seven continents.
Since its inception, SKYTRAC has provided industry-leading companies like Airbus, Embraer, Textron Aviation, and many more with products and services that improve the safety, efficiency, and connectivity of their aircraft.
SKYTRAC offers Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite and cellular communication services for all aerospace sectors. This includes providing critical capabilities such as medical data transfer, video streaming, real-time Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS), and more over Iridium Certus® and cellular networks. These capabilities enable Emergency Services aircraft to provide enhanced patient care, Oil and Gas companies to safely transport workers, Airlines to locate their aircraft in the event of an emergency, and more.
Continuing to grow, SKYTRAC now has a team of over 120 people based in both our Kelowna and Ottawa offices. Meet some of the incredible people on our team below.
